Dr. Katherine Nicholson is a native of Spartanburg, South Carolina. She graduated from Spartanburg High School in 1988, Wofford College in 1992 and received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the Medical University of South Carolina College of Dental Medicine in 1996. After completing a hospital dental residency at the University of Maryland Medical System in 1997, Dr. Nicholson returned home to Spartanburg to start her own solo dental practice.
Dr. Nicholson has attended numerous courses from the internationally renowned Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies (LVI). LVI is one of the premier centers for the study of cosmetic dentistry and neuromuscular dentistry. As an attendee of LVI, Dr. Nicholson is one of a small percentage of dentists worldwide who has received this level of training.
Dr. Nicholson’s professional affiliations are further evidence of her passionate commitment to providing her patients with the highest level of dental care. Currently, she is a member of the following organizations:

When Dr. Nicholson isn’t attempting to serenade her patients by singing along with Pandora, you will probably find her with a cup of coffee in her hand. She loves coffee. Coffee...is...life! You can find her outside of work trying to beast it up at Motivus CrossFit or playing photographer with her Canon EOS 6D. Doc is a big Game of Thrones and Star Wars fan. In fact, one of her nicknames is "Doc Vader."
